Statement of Belief

We believe:

  • In God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 4:15), and the Holy Ghost (John 14:26), who together form the Trinity (Matthew 28:19).

  • That Jesus Christ is the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16; 4:25-26; Luke 1:35).

  • In the existence of Satan, in whom God allowed iniquity to be placed, and who fell from heaven with his angels (James 2:9, Revelation 12:19, Ezekiel 28: 14-15, Amos 3:6).

  • That God created a spiritual existence in which Satan manifested evil, causing some of the spirits to rebel against God (Isaiah 14:12-14; Jude 6).

  • That God created our physical world (Genesis 1:1), to which each person comes with a body and soul made alive by a spirit from the spiritual creation (Luke 9:55; Genesis 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

  • That Satan continues to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), attempting to separate humanity from God through sin (Isaiah 59:2). However, God has reconciled the whole world to himself through Jesus’s sacrifice and resurrection (John 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 5:19).

  • That Jesus Christ will return to this earth, subdue the power of Satan, and reign forever and ever (1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Revelation 19-20).

  • That the return of Jesus Christ is near and we are living in the period described in Scripture as the latter days (Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21).

  • That believers who have died will rise again with a spiritual body (spirit and soul together) in the first resurrection, while all others will rise after a thousand years, for God wills that all should be saved (Philippians 2:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:44; Revelation 20:7-13).

  • That of the twelve tribes of Israel, the tribes of Judah and Benjamin maintained their identity as the Jews, but the remaining ten tribes have been lost and scattered throughout the world (Genesis 49; 2 Kings 17:15, 18, 23; Isaiah 11:12).

  • That God promises to gather a remnant of the twelve tribes in these latter days and join them to him under a new covenant. (Matthew 10:5-6; Isaiah 11:12, Jeremiah 31:31-34).

  • That through following both the Law and Gospel, there will be 144,000 Israelites whose bodies will be made immortal without death, becoming the Bride of the Lamb (Revelation 14:1-5, John 10:27-28, 1 Corinthians 15:53-55, Revelation 19:7-9).

  • That all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God to perfect humankind (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
