Statement of Belief

We believe:

  • In God Almighty, Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1), the Spirit Christ (1 John 5:7), and the Holy Ghost (John 14:26), who together form the Trinity.

  • Jesus Christ, the “only begotten Son” of God, is the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament (Isaiah 7:14; John 3:16; 4:25-26; Luke 1:35).

  • In the existence of Satan, the Devil, in whom God allowed iniquity to be placed, who fell from heaven with his angels (James 2:19; Ezekiel 28:14-15; Revelation 12:9; Isaiah 14:12-15; Amos 3:6).

  • That God created a spirit existence in which the devil manifested evil, causing some of the spirits to rebel against God (Isaiah 14:12-14; Jude 6).

  • That God created our physical world (Genesis 1:1), to which each person comes with a body and a soul made alive by a spirit from the spiritual creation (Luke 9:55; Genesis 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

  • That all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God to perfect humankind (2 Timothy 3:16-17), and that God gave His people instructions on how they should live, which were for their own good always (Deuteronomy 6:24-25).

  • That Satan continues to steal, kill, and destroy in this world (see 3 above; John 10:10; John 8:44), separating humanity from God, so that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). However, God has reconciled the whole world to Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus (John 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 5:19).

  • That Jesus Christ will return to this earth, subdue the power of Satan, and reign forever and ever (1 Corinthians 15:24-28; Revelation 19-20).

  • That the time of Jesus’ return, as described in the Gospels, is near (Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21).

  • That believers who have died will rise again with a spiritual body (spirit and soul together) in the first resurrection, while all others will rise after 1,000 years, for God wills that all should be saved (Philippians 2:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:44; Revelation 20:7-13).

  • That throughout the Scriptures, there are promises for Israel, God’s chosen people, that He will gather a remnant of the twelve tribes in the end times (Matthew 10:5-6; Isaiah 11:12).

  • That of the twelve tribes of Israel, the tribes of Judah and Benjamin maintained their identity as the Jews, but the remaining ten tribes have been lost and scattered throughout the world (Genesis 49; 2 Kings 17:15, 18, 23; Isaiah 11:12).

  • That this remnant of Israel will be called to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14), which is the promise of the mortal body being made immortal. With the law written in their hearts and minds, God will justify them through faith made perfect by works (Jeremiah 31:31-33; James 2:22-24; Hebrews 6:1-3).
